The Restoration Process
We began restoration in 2021 and had many setbacks and changed the plan several times, but we could not be happier with how it turned out.

Before
The house had been sitting vacant for over eight years and needed some love.

2021
We removed English ivy and overgrown plants from the house and carriage house, removed a hazardous concrete walkway, and identified serious structural damage due to a previous roof leak.

2022
The damaged chimney was demolished down to the basement and rebuilt with two new fire boxes. The profile above the roof line was built with reclaimed brick and the brick pattern and style was recreated exactly like the original. The entire brick foundation was also repointed.

2023
Finally ready for cosmetic projects, The Woodward underwent its greatest transformation in 2023. Plaster repair, new porch and deck, new front garden, fresh paint and wallpaper brought the home back to life.

2024
2024 began with carriage house repairs, some electrical updates, and hardwood floor restoration. Then Caroline took over to work her magic on the kitchen and bathrooms.

Now
The Italianate Victorian shines again!
